Teaching K to Z | Get to Know "K" & "Z"

Hi! We are Keri and Kim, 2 kindergarten teachers from Northeast Ohio. We have worked in the same school district together for our entire teaching careers. Before teaching kindergarten, we both taught small group reading. We even lived together at one point as young teachers who were just starting out! And then, guess what?! We were hired on the same day to both teach K! It was then that our bond was formed.

Our classrooms are connected by a shared closet, so we pop in and out of each other’s rooms all day long! It’s so fun to hear and watch each other teach sometimes. It’s also great to have someone to talk to when things are going crazy in the classroom!

We both have our undergrad degrees in Early Childhood Education. Kim from Kent State University and Keri from Bowling Green State University. We also both have our Masters in reading from Walden University.

People at our school often think of us as a package deal. We have similar teaching styles, we plan together, and our handwriting even resembles one another’s! We can’t wait to share some of what we love, together, with all of you!
